Window Depot-Cleveland recently finished a window installation in Avon Lake! What was once merely a beach rental, vacation home neighborhood for people from East Cleveland and Downtown looking to escape the hustle and bustle in the 1950’s, is now a very desirable destination for anyone looking to plant roots on the West Side! Many homes have converted from rental homes to single-family homes. The square footage for many homes in the area is low, so what many land and home owners found themselves doing was adding on to the existing footprint with front porch enclosures. As many homes in the area were primarily used for summer rentals, the additions were often used only for a few months. Now, for our client, Laux family, after purchasing the home approximately 5 years ago, they, like most NE Ohioans, explored ways of utilizing the space more year round. However, the main goal, also, was to not detract from the home’s history. After meeting with the salesman from WD, it was decided that 2-Lite Slider windows would be best for staying true to the identity of the home, while allowing the Laux family to use the front addition more year round with higher temperature control! The finished product is awesome! With the double efficiency glass, this space will certainly help the Laux family live that “beach life” for all 365 days of the year!!
